DESCRIPTION
The County entered into an agreement with Cardno, Inc. on April 5, 2022, to provide professional engineering services for the Imperial Lakes Boulevard drainage improvement project. The services are to be performed in 2 phases. The Board approved the agreement and Phase 1 services in the amount of $121,135.00.
While phase 1 services were in progress, Cardno Inc. was purchased by Stantec Consulting Services, Inc. and the assignment was approved by Amendment 1.
Phase 1 required the Consultant to evaluate alternatives for mitigating the existing flooding conditions. This resulted in an alternative solution to eliminate flooding of Imperial Lakes Boulevard up to a 100-year, 24-hour storm event.
On July 11, 2023, the Board approved Amendment 2 for phase 2 services in the amount of $319,953.00. Services included design, permitting and bidding assistance to construct a new stormwater management facility and storm sewer modifications along Imperial lakes Boulevard, north of Country Club Lane.
This Amendment 3 is now needed to provide additional subsurface utility services. Services include subsurface utility surveying along Imperial Lakes Boulevard adjacent to the project. This Amendment 3 is for a not-to-exceed amount of $12,750.00, bringing the total cost of professional services to $453,838.00.
The Agreement will remain in effect through the completion of construction.
This project is fully funded through the American Rescue Plan through the United States Department of Treasury.
RECOMMENDATION
Request the Board approve Amendment 3 to Agreement 2022-018 with Stantec Consulting Services, Inc. for the Imperial Lakes Boulevard Drainage Improvement project in the amount of $12,750.00.
