DESCRIPTION
On September 19, 2023, the Board approved an Interlocal Agreement with the City since the City is not LAP certified and cannot accept the FDOT funding. Polk County is LAP certified and will be acting as the FDOT’s project manager through construction.
On January 23, 2024, the Board approved Amendment No. 1 to the ILA to ensure that the City will be responsible for reimbursing the County for construction costs, including CEI, that are in excess of the $800,000.00 in State provided funds.
On February 6, 2024, the Board approved and entered into a State-Funded Grant Agreement 452246-1-58-01 with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for the City of Lake Wales Minor Streetscape Improvement Project for East Orange Avenue and East Crystal Avenue Project in the amount of $800,000.00.
Under this CSA, the Consultant will provide Polk County with CEI services to monitor the construction of the Project. The Consultant is to perform these services at a cost not-to-exceed $162,566.25, as detailed in “Exhibit A”.
RECOMMENDATION
Request the Board approve CSA No. 22-086-03 with the Consultant a cost not-to-exceed $162,566.25 for the City of Lake Wales Minor Streetscape Improvement Project for East Orange Avenue and East Crystal Avenue Project.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are budgeted and available in the Transportation Millage Fund.
