Review/Approve Draft Amendment to the Envision 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP)

SUMMARY
Due to the programming and advancement of the Moving I-4 Forward Projects, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has requested the Polk TPO to amend its Long-Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) in order to match FDOT’s programming which has changed since the TPO adopted its Long Range Transportation Plan last year. In Polk County this includes the widening of Interstate 4 in northeast Polk County from west of US 27 to west of CR 532. Additionally, there are a few minor adjustments needed to several project descriptions in the Plan that staff will review with the committee.
RECOMMENDED ACTION
TPO staff requests the committee to recommend the TPO Board approve the amendments to the TPO’s LRTP.
