DESCRIPTION
This is a County-initiated request for an LDC Text amendment to Chapter 2, Table 2.1 Use Table For Standard Land Use Districts to add a Prescriptive Planned Development to the Residential Low (RL-1, RL-2, RL-3, RL-4), Residential Medium RM, and Residential High RH districts; amending Section 303 to add Prescriptive Planned Development; amending Chapter 4, to add Prescriptive Planned Development to the Residential Low-X (RL-1X, RL-2X, RL-3X, RL-4X), Residential Medium-X RMX, Residential High-X RHX, and Town Center (TCX) districts to Selected Area Plan (SAP) use tables in Table 4.1c of the I/4 Northeast Parkway SAP, table 4.3 of the Ronald Reagan Parkway SAP, Table 4.8 of the North U.S. Highway 27 SAP, Table 4.12 of the U.S. Highway 98 SAP, and Table 4.16 of the North Ridge SAP; amending Chapter 9, Section 903.G, Planned Developments, and Table 9.1, adding Prescriptive Planned Development; amending Chapter 10 to add definitions for emergency Medical Care and General Mercantile; State law requires one Planning Commission hearing, which will be held November 1, 2023, with a recommendation of approval.
Section 163.3202, Florida Statutes (F.S.) requires the Board to adopt Land Development Code (LDC) regulations consistent with the implementation of the Polk County Comprehensive Plan. Amendments to the LDC require two public hearings before the Board to be adopted.
