DESCRIPTION
This is a County-initiated request for an LDC text amendment amending Ordinance No. 00-09, as amended, the Polk County Land Development Code, Chapter 2, Section 214, to add standards for stand-alone Ice Vending Machines, Automated Teller Machines and other detached accessory vending operations; Chapter 10, Definitions, to add definitions; providing for severability. State law requires one Planning Commission hearing, which will be held on May 6, 2026.
Section 163.3202, Florida Statutes (F.S.) requires the Board to adopt Land Development Code (LDC) regulations consistent with the implementation of the Polk County Comprehensive Plan. Amendments to the LDC require two public hearings before the Board to be adopted.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board set the first reading on June 2, 2026, at 9:15 a.m. and the adoption hearing date on June 16, 2026, at 9:15 a.m.
