DESCRIPTION
On 5 March 2024, Modification 1 was needed for additional work that included adding a drainage basin for analysis, design of three additional floodplain compensation ponds and three additional stormwater ponds, preparation of an informational flier and three concept boards for a public meeting. This Modification increased the contract by $51,600.63.
Modification No. 2 directs the Consultant to identify, develop, assess, and screen an additional project alternative in response to input provided during and after the Public Meeting held on February 27, 2024. Option 5 will consist of a two-signal alternative with proposed signals located at the intersections of Swindell Road (West)/Galloway Road and Swindell Road (East)/Galloway Road that would meet the purpose and need for the project.

Request Board approve Modification No. 2 to Consultant Services Authorization (CSA) No. 17-059-06 between Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc. (Consultant) and Polk Count for additional design services for the Swindell Road at Galloway Road Intersection Alignment Study in the amount of $112,785.70.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are available within the Roads and Drainage 5-year CIP in the County Transportation Trust Fund
