DESCRIPTION
The Board approved Contract 2024-045 with Crisdel Group, Inc., on May 10, 2024, in the amount of $6,943,298.20 for the Fort Fraser Trail Extension Project. Construction began on July 8, 2024, and the current expected completion date is August 8, 2025.
County staff have reached agreement for a Temporary Construction Agreement with Lowe’s Home Centers, LLC to reconstruct the Lowe’s driveway connection to Lakeland Highlands Road. In the post-condition the driveway will provide an ADA compliant pedestrian crossing and will also improve the slopes for vehicle access.
During the Lowe’s driveway reconstruction, a city-owned sanitary sewer force main will be adjusted. The City has agreed to cover the costs of $139,909.40 for the force main adjustment and will provide $13,990 in contingency funds for a total of $153,899.40. This JPA will allow the City to provide these funds to the County for the force main adjustment. The City Commission approved this JPA at their February 17, 2025, meeting.
A Change Order to Contract 2024-045 with Crisdel Group, Inc, will be processed in the near future to cover this additional work.
