SUBJECT

title

Approve a CIP Amendment and budget transfer from the Transportation Trust Fund Reserve for Budget Stabilization to the CR 54 @ Heritage Pass Signalization Project. ($177,343 one-time transfer).

body

DESCRIPTION

The CR 54 @ Heritage Pass Signalization Project is included in the Roads & Drainage Division FY 25/26 CIP budget. Construction of the project is complete. During design, it was determined that additional right-of-way was needed for the installation of the mast arm at the NW corner of the intersection. During construction, the paving and pavement marking limits were extended to address existing asphalt and pavement marking deficiencies, resulting in increased asphalt and pavement markings quantities.

In addition, the original signalization quote identified signal cable and in-conduit loop lead wiring quantities as items “to be determined/measured during construction”. Final field quantities, along with additional service wire requirements identified during construction, resulted in costs exceeding the amounts originally anticipated.

The proposed CIP amendment will provide the additional funding necessary to cover these unanticipated project costs.

RECOMMENDATION

Request Board approve a CIP Amendment and budget transfer from the Transportation Trust Fund Reserve for Budget Stabilization in the amount of $177,343 to the CR 54 @ Heritage Pass Signalization Project for a new FY 25/26 project budget of $1,084,643.

FISCAL IMPACT

Funds are available for transfer in the Transportation Trust Fund Reserve for Budget Stabilization.
