DESCRIPTION
The construction of the new fire training facility at 59 Vaughn Rd, Winter Haven necessitates the need for a high-speed connection to the location to deliver voice, data, and multi-media services. KwiKom n/k/a WANRack will build out and maintain this connection for a one-time construction cost ($98,867.00) and a monthly service fee ($625.00) for the duration of the contract. Under the new WanRack agreement, any items previously under KwiKom d/b/a JMZ Corporation, including the original service [referenced under Schedule A-1 for Agenda 24-2278 for Marshall Edwards Drive, funded by IT Division] will be included with the new Dark Fiber Lease Agreement moving forward.
RECOMMENDATION
Recommend approval and signature of WANRack agreement to add dark fiber access from 59 Vaughn Rd, Winter Haven to 300 Sheffield Rd, Winter Haven and adopt the services previously signed.
FISCAL IMPACT
One-time cost of $98,867.00, as well as monthly service fees ($625 per month) are available within the Fiscal Year 2025/26 Fire Rescue General Fund Capital Improvement budget (Schedule A-2).
