DESCRIPTION
The Supervisor of Elections has received a Special Revenue Grant for 2024-2025 Election Security Enhancement. The Memorandum of Agreement, Election Security Enhancement Grant MOA 24.e.an.000.53, between the Supervisor of Election’s office and the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Elections has been signed. This award was not anticipated at the time the budget was created.
Funds provided under this agreement shall be used to cover the cost of a one-year subscription to the Albert Network Monitoring Solution, through reimbursement, enhancing election security in accordance with the Help America Vote Act of 2002 (HAVA). Albert is a fully-managed network security monitoring service, monitoring internet traffic, alerting to malicious activity and intrusion detection, and providing cyber threat intelligence.
RECOMMENDATION
Request the Board approve a transfer from the Special Revenue Grant Fund Reserve for Contingency in the amount of $13,800 to establish budget for the 2024-2025 Election Security ESF grant.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are available for transfer from the Special Revenue Grant Fund Reserve for Contingency within the Special Revenue Grant Fund.
