SUBJECT
title
Adopt resolution amending the Solivita Phase IV A Street Lighting Assessment Area
body
DESCRIPTION
Solivita Phase IV A is a platted subdivision located in the Poinciana area. In 2003, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Ordinance No. 03-71 creating the Solivita Phase IV A Special Street Lighting District, which was subsequently amended by Ordinance No. 2016-065 to add property located in Solivita Phase 5 J, and further subsequently amended and replaced by Ord. 18-066.
The proposed resolution amends the existing Solivita Phase IV A Street Lighting Assessment Area (“SLAA”) to add property located in Solivita Phase 7G-1. The parcels located in Solivita Phase 7G-1 receive a direct benefit from the street lighting services located in the Solivita Phase IV A SLAA, and the proposed amending resolution will ensure that all benefited parcels are annually assessed by the County for the street lighting costs within the subdivision, which costs will be collected on the tax bill.
RECOMMENDATION
Adopt the proposed resolution amending the Solivita Phase IV A Street Lighting Assessment Area.
FISCAL IMPACT
No fiscal impact. Costs of operation and maintenance of the amended Solivita Phase IV A Street Lighting Assessment Area will be paid by the lot owners through an annual special assessment.
