DESCRIPTION
The Lake Ashton II Community Development District (CDD) was adopted by the Board in 2005. The CDD is currently located within the city of Winter Haven. The District currently covers approximately 507 acres of land. The addition includes four parcels that combine to approximately 16.78 acres in the city of Lake Wales.
Section 190.046, Florida Statutes (F.S.) requires the Board to adopt an ordinance enacting Community Development Districts that it has previously adopted. The Land Development Division received a complete petition to modify the Lake Ashton II CDD on July 18, 2024. In order to comply with the special advertising requirements of Chapter 190, Florida Statutes, the applicant must run advertisements in the newspaper for four consecutive weeks prior to the hearing. The requested date, September 17, 2024, allows additional time for staff to review the advertisement before it is printed in the newspaper.
