DESCRIPTION
Polk County Emergency Management receives 911 calls throughout Polk County from callers who do not speak English. To ensure that emergency services can be provided to non-English speaking callers, over the phone interpretation services that are accessed in seconds are utilized. These services were previously provided by Propio through a NASPO Value Point cooperative agreement that recently expired.
To stay compliant with the Florida Emergency Communications State Plan, the Emergency Management Division is requesting to piggyback the new NASPO Value Point cooperative agreement with Propio.
The State of Florida belongs to the National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) ValuePoint Cooperative Purchasing Organization, which has enabled us to piggyback the agreements that were solicited on behalf of the cooperative. NASPO solicited Request for Proposal (#40-00000-24-00076), resulting in an agreement with Propio LS, LLC for remote interpreting and translating services. There are no local vendors that provide these services.
The term of the agreement is four years.

FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are budgeted in the Emergency 911 funds.
