DESCRIPTION
The County currently uses UniFirst Corporation to lease and or purchase uniforms for various County staff. Typically, they are for employees who work outdoors in the community and need to be recognized as a Polk County employee. This agreement is about to expire on May 22, 2025, and County divisions have requested procurement assistance to continue to use UniFirst.
The County’s current agreement is a cooperative agreement through Sourcewell, a State of Minnesota service cooperative. Since we are members of Sourcewell, we can use the new Sourcewell cooperative agreement with UniFirst to continue the services. Services include uniform rentals, laundry and repair, pickup and delivery as well as an option for divisions to purchase uniforms.
The following divisions currently use UniFirst for uniform needs: Utilities, Parks and Natural Resources, Roads and Drainage and Solid Waste.
This term of the agreement, with all renewal options, is through March 25, 2031.

Request Board approve cooperative agreement with UniFirst Corporation for uniform rentals and purchases. ($90,000.00 estimated recurring annual expense)
FISCAL IMPACT
Funding is available for these services within the user division’s operating budgets.
