DESCRIPTION
This is a County and applicant-initiated request for a LDC text amendment to Change the text of the Land Development Code Appendix E, Section E105, to establish the SR 60 & Boy Scout Road RCC Activity Center Plan (ACP). State law requires one Planning Commission hearing, which was held on December 4th, with a recommendation of approval (Vote:5:2).
Section 163.3202, Florida Statutes (F.S.) requires the Board to adopt Land Development Code (LDC) regulations consistent with the implementation of the Polk County Comprehensive Plan. Amendments to the LDC require two public hearings before the Board to be adopted. This is the first of the two hearings.
RECOMMENDATION
After the second reading on February 18, 2025:
Approve;
Approve as amended by the Board; or,
Deny.
