DESCRIPTION
Section 2.02 of the lnterlocal Agreement Relating to the Establishment of the Water Cooperative of Central Florida by and among the City of St. Cloud, Florida, Tohopekaliga Water Authority, Orange County, Florida, and Polk County, Florida, executed by Polk County on March 8, 2011 (the "lnterlocal Agreement") identifies the composition and responsibilities of the governing body of the Water Cooperative of Central Florida (the "WCCF"), known as the Board of Supervisors. The lnterlocal Agreement requires Polk County to appoint a member of the Board of County Commissioners to serve as a Supervisor on the governing body of WCCF by resolution. Each Supervisor shall at all times be a duly authorized and a sitting member of the Polk County Board of County Commissioners.
The proposed resolution identifies Commissioner Michael Scott as Polk County’s appointment to the WCCF. The proposed resolution authorizes the Board Chair to identify future appointments to the Board of Supervisors of the WCCF by providing written notice to the WCCF without the necessity of the Polk County Board of County Commissioners adopting a resolution.
RECOMMENDATION
Adopt a resolution identifying the appointment of its supervisor to the Water Cooperative of Central Florida.
