DESCRIPTION
The Polk County’s Utilities Division requested Procurement to solicit bids from qualified contractors to construct wellhead facilities for the Holly Hill Upper Floridan Aquifer (UFA) Well No. 2 and the Oak Hills Well No. 4 raw water wells. Each site will receive the necessary equipment to pump raw water from the wells to their respective water production facilities, including vertical turbine pumps, piping, electrical equipment, etc.
Bid 25-407, Holly Hill UFA No, 2 and Oak Hill No. 4 Wellheads was issued, and two contractors submitted bids.

A recommendation of award was issued to CenState Contractors, Inc., and no protests were received. In accordance with Resolution No. 13-066, 5% was added for allowance work for $160,950.00 and is included in the proposed contract award totaling $3,379,950.00. The contract time for this project is 300 days for final completion. Allowance time for the project is 45 days.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board approve construction contract with CenState Contractors, Inc. for the Holly Hill UFA #2 and Oak Hill #4 wellheads project in the amount of $3,379,950.00.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are budgeted in the Utilities Community Investment Program, Oakhill/Providence Well No. 4 and New Holly Hill Well No. 2 project budgets.
