DESCRIPTION
Florida Statute Section 316.006(3)(b) provides that a County may exercise jurisdiction over any private roads if the County and the party owning such roads provide for County traffic control jurisdiction by a written agreement approved by the governing board of the County.
By Resolution, adopted by the Lake Mariana Reserve Homeowners Association, Inc., the homeowners are requesting that the Polk County Sheriff’s Office provide traffic enforcement within the boundaries of the association and have entered into the Agreement with Polk County for Traffic Control on Private Roads.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve Agreement for Traffic Control on Private Roads for Lake Mariana Reserve Homeowners Association, Inc.
