DESCRIPTION
Polk County Tourism and Sports Marketing (PCTSM) recruits state, regional, national, international, & local organizations, partnering and managing special events to enhance the economic climate of Polk County. The attached agreement is PCTSM partnering with Theatre Winter Haven, Inc. to act as an "Official Sponsor" of eight events (Ritz Friday Date Night, Ritz Tribute Tuesdays, Ritz Variety Series Season 57, Ritz Weekends at the Ritz, TWH Second Stage Season 57, TWH All Stages-Professional Series Season 57, TWH Summer Musical Season 57, and TWH MainStage Season 57) occurring during FY 26/27. ($275,676 one-time expense).
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board approval of the investment and execute the referenced Cooperative Sponsorship Agreement.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are available in the Tourism Tax Fund.
