DESCRIPTION
The SR 60 @ Old Bartow/Lake Wales Road Intersection Improvement Project is included in the current yOn December 14, 2021, the Board approved CSA No. 17-050-07 with the Consultant to provide professional engineering services for the design of the SR 60 @ Old Bartow/Lake Wales Rd intersection improvement project at a cost not-to-exceed fee of $165,103.45. The primary focus of this project is to add a dedicated right turn lane to Old Bartow/Lake Wales Rd. On September 27, 2023, the Board approved Modification No. 1 to allow the Consultant to perform lighting analysis and design for new light poles at the intersection as required by FDOT. Modification No. 1 increased the not-to-exceed fee by $51,465.22 for a new total of $216,568.67. The design and permitting is now complete for the project. Construction bids have been received and the construction start date is currently being scheduled.
This CSA is needed to allow the Consultant to provide post-design services on the project. These services include reviewing and approving shop drawings and material submittals, providing clarifications and answering questions during construction, and closing out the FDOT permit upon completion of construction. ear CIP for the Roads & Drainage Division.
