Interstate 4 Regional Intermodal Station Feasibility Study

Summary

Bob O’Malley, Senior Vice President of Government Affairs for the Orlando Economic Partnership will provide a presentation on the status of regional passenger rail service in Central Florida (Item 12a.).  Following this presentation (Item 12b.), Ryan Kordek, Polk TPO staff will discuss a proposal for an Intermodal Passenger Rail Station Feasibility Study along I-4 in Polk County.  As proposed, $500,000 is being allocated for the Study in fiscal year (FY) 2025/26.

 

Recommended Action

Staff requests the Board to authorize funding for the Study in the TPO’s Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) in fiscal year 2025/26.  The TAC recommends approval.
