DESCRIPTION
On December 17, 2024, the Board approved the County’s Release of Claims in favor of Jones, Edmunds & Associates, Inc. and Echo UES, Inc. pertaining to its claims arising from certain additional project work performed and costs incurred as described in Allowance Authorization Release No. 01 for Contract No. 2023-050.
Following the execution of the Release of Claims, but prior to its delivery to the released parties, a scrivener’s error was discovered in the document. If uncorrected the error would extend the scope of the release beyond the County and the released parties’ agreement and intent.
The attached Corrected Release of Claims corrects the scrivener’s error and nullifies the previously executed Release of Claims.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board approve the Corrected Release of Claims for Consultant Services Authorization 18-060-0 3with Jones Edmunds & Associates, Inc. for the Crooked Lake Park Receivership - Wastewater Treatment Facility Abandonment and Lift Station Replacements project. (Release of Claims (payment to County) totaling $144,221.06).
