DESCRIPTION
This is an applicant-initiated LDC text amendment to add “Car Wash, Full Service” to Use Table 4.8 within the US 27 Selected Area Plan (SAP) in Town Center-X (TCX) land use districts. Currently, “Car Wash, Incidental” is a C2, Conditional Use (CU) in the TCX district of this SAP. State law requires one Planning Commission hearing, which will be held on August 7, 2024, with a recommendation of approval.
Section 163.3202, Florida Statutes (F.S.) requires the Board to adopt Land Development Code (LDC) regulations consistent with the implementation of the Polk County Comprehensive Plan. Amendments to the LDC require two public hearings before the Board to be adopted.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board set the first reading on September 17, 2024, at 9:15 a.m., and the second reading on October 1, 2024, at 9:15 a.m.
