DESCRIPTION
Polk County has an interest in promoting the health, safety, and welfare of the public. Camping on public property can create public health, safety, and welfare issues. Additionally, camping on public and private property can have adverse effects on the security and value of nearby residential and commercial properties. As a result, Polk County has decided to prohibit camping on certain property unless specifically authorized.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve the Ordinance of the Polk County Board of County Commissioners prohibiting camping on certain property unless specifically authorized.
