DESCRIPTION
The County provides water, wastewater, and/or reclaimed water services in six (6) utility service areas to more than 85,000 customers throughout unincorporated Polk County. Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems are used to monitor and control various critical elements in the County’s utility infrastructure. This scope of services specifically relates to the County’s water production facilities and wastewater lift stations, and includes the development of risk assessment criteria, review of operational response to SCADA events, operational technology penetration testing, and SCADA asset management support. The County has requested the Consultant to provide these services and the associated recommendations and reports.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board approve Consultant Services Authorization 2024-007-04 with Carollo Engineers, Inc., to provide professional services for the SCADA Risk Assessment and Asset Management Project for a cost not-to-exceed $293,666.00.
FISCAL IMPACT
Connection fee funding in the amount of $293,666.00 is budgeted and available in the Utilities Connection Fee Fund within the Utilities SCADA Cybersecurity Improvements CIP project budget.
