DESCRIPTION
This request is to accept an additional warranty and surety in the amount of $10,000.00 in the form of Maintenance Bond No. 301280C, which represents 10% of the cost of the publicly dedicated infrastructure for Culver’s Christina. The additional warranty will permit the County to review results of possible substandard construction techniques used for this project. The wastewater materials were found to be in question upon inspection, and normal testing was insufficient to assure structural integrity of the wastewater materials. Since it was found to be impractical to remove and replace them, Polk County will monitor the resilience and performance of the materials during this additional warranty period. The one-year warranty period begins on March 5, 2024 and ends on March 5, 2025.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board accept a one-year warranty expiring on March 5, 2025 and a Maintenance Bond in the amount of $10,000.00 for Culver’s Christina.
