body

DESCRIPTION

Polk County Utilities (PCU) utilizes a piggyback agreement with Odyssey Manufacturing Co. to provide maintenance and repair services to water and wastewater treatment plant chemical feed systems. This agreement has recently expired and PCU requested Procurement assist with putting a new piggyback in place as there are no local vendors that can provide the services.

The attached piggyback from the Town of Davie agreement with Odyssey Manufacturing Co. for chemical system maintenance and repair services as a result of RFP-JA-23-59 will allow the county to continue to maintain and repair our facilities. The term of the agreement, with all extensions, is through October 17, 2029.

When services are needed, PCU will work with the vendor to create a Work Authorization (WA). Each WA will include a detailed scope of work, schedule, and cost. WA’s will require the Utilities Division Director’s approval. These Work Authorizations will also include a history of cumulative spend for all prior work authorizations executed under this agreement.

RECOMMENDATION

Recommend Board approve a piggyback agreement (PB 24-212) with Odyssey Manufacturing Co. for chemical system maintenance and repair services.

FISCAL IMPACT

Funding is available within the Utilities operating fund
