DESCRIPTION
The funding from this grant award, in the amount of $16,093.00, will fund the Polk County Court Technology Cybersecurity Project which includes the purchase of technology licensure that, when installed and implemented will provide a two-factor authentication identity and access management security method that will greatly benefit our courts and our court users by safeguarding our most vulnerable information and networks from being stolen, destroyed or accessed for other criminal purposes. In fortifying our online security protocols, we will offer exponentially more secure virtual accessibility to and safekeeping of information related to the Courts’ online records, services and proceedings. Our goal is to provide a much more secure level of accessibility and operability for all court users, judges and staff who access our courts online to engage in a safe and secure online system when virtually conducting court business.
The award period is a one-year period beginning October 1, 2023 and ending on September 30, 2024.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board approve and sign OCJG & FDLE Grant Award Agreement, Award Number: R7170, for the benefit of all court users, judges and staff who access our courts online to engage in a safe and secure online system when virtually conducting court business.
FISCAL IMPACT
The funding in the amount of $16,093.00 is awarded through the aforementioned grant award agreement.
