Approve Polk HealthCare Plan Medical Services Agreement with Lakeland Regional Health Systems, Inc. and Lakeland Regional Medical Center, Inc. d/b/a Lakeland Regional Health (Lakeland Regional Health) for specialty care services. (Transfer of existing appropriations to medical provider).

DESCRIPTION
The medical services agreement (MSA) will allow Polk HealthCare Plan members whose primary care is with Lakeland Regional Health to receive specialty care services through Lakeland Regional Health’s Residency Program. Specialty services include, but are not limited to: Cardiology, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Nephrology, Neurology, Orthopedic Surgery, and Pulmonology. Medical Residents in the program will do a rotation with each specialty provider. The MSA will be effective April 1, 2024 with the option to automatically renew to September 30, 2026.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board approve the medical services agreement with Lakeland Regional Health for the provision of specialty care services.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are available in the Indigent Health Care Fund.
