DESCRIPTION
This is a County-initiated request to amend the text of the Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Element for policies in Objective 2.110-B related to Rural Cluster Centers, existing activity center expansions (Policy 2.110-J1), and the initiation of Activity Center Plans (Policy 2.110-L3).
State law requires one Planning Commission hearing, which was held on January 3, 2024, with a recommendation for approval (Vote 6:0). On February 20, 2024, The County Commission conducted the transmittal hearing to the Department of Florida Commerce. On March 26, 2024, a letter was received from the Department of Florida Commerce stating that they had no objections, recommendations, or comments to this request
