DESCRIPTION
This is a County initiated request for a LDC Text amendment to amend Chapter 2, Section 218 to add clarification for the length of utility trailers in residential districts, Chapter 2, Section 219 to add regulations for vehicle repair within residential districts, Chapter 10 to add definitions for Vehicle Repair, Major and Minor. State law requires one Planning Commission hearing, which was held on April 3, 2024. The Planning Commission voted *** to recommend approval.
Section 163.3202, Florida Statutes (F.S.) requires the Board to adopt Land Development Code (LDC) regulations consistent with the implementation of the Polk County Comprehensive Plan. Amendments to the LDC require two public hearings before the Board to be adopted.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board set the first reading on May 7, 2024, at 9:30 a.m., and the second reading on May 21, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.
