DESCRIPTION
In September of 2021, the Board authorized the Executive Director to execute a change order with Carollo Engineers (a.k.a. TeamOne) for up to $113,000 to provide design, environmental permitting, and survey services for the Southeast Wellfield Test Production Well (TPW) #3. Change Order No. 3 was subsequently issued on October 7, 2021. Design of the well is complete, and a drilling contractor has been selected for the construction of TPW #3. The professional hydrogeologist services outlined in Change Order No. 5 are required to support TPW #3 construction and consist of daily on-site observation of drilling activities, well testing support (including a 14-day aquifer performance test), and the preparation of a Well Completion Report. TPW #3 will be converted to a production well for Phase 1 of the Southeast Wellfield Project. This project is co-funded by the SWFWMD under Grant Agreement No. 21CF0003731.
RECOMMENDATION
Authorize Executive Director to execute Change Order No. 5 with Carollo Engineers, Inc. to provide construction phase services for Test Production Well #3.
FISCAL IMPACT
Fiscal impact in the amount of $351,864, with 50% reimbursement by SWFWMD in the amount of $175,932.
