DESCRIPTION
On March 9, 2022 the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) solicitation was advertised by the City of Winter Haven and was extensively advertised and provided to nearly 6,000 firms. On May 1, 2022, the Southeast and West Polk Board of Directors authorized the formation of a selection committee to review the proposal(s). The selection committee subsequently recommended awarding the project to Florida Water Partners (FWP), a Garney/Wharton-Smith Joint Venture. At the July 13, 2022 PRWC Board of Directors meeting, the Southeast and West Polk Board of Directors authorized the selection committee to commence negotiations with FWP. Negotiations with FWP are on-going at this time and staff expects to bring a CMAR Agreement to the Project Boards for their consideration at the November PRWC Board of Directors meeting.
