DESCRIPTION
On July 27, 2015, the Board of County Commissioners executed the Traffic Signal Maintenance and Compensation Agreement with FDOT. This agreement defines the method and limits of compensation to be made to the maintaining agency, Polk County, for services described in the original Agreement. In this agreement, the FY 2015/2016 reimbursement amount was set and future years’ reimbursements were to be agreed upon by FDOT issuing an updated Exhibit “A” on an annual basis. The attached Amendment containing an updated Exhibit “A” for FY 2023/2024 provides for compensation to Polk County for maintaining and operating 269 traffic signals and devices in the amount of $979,321.00, as detailed in Exhibit “A”.
RECOMMENDATION
Request Board approve the Amendment the Traffic Signal Maintenance and Compensation Agreement to include updated Exhibit “A” between the FDOT and Polk County for FY 2023/2024 and adopt a Resolution authorizing the Chairman to execute the Amendment on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds in the amount of $979,321.00 received from the FDOT will be deposited in the Transportation Millage Fund.
