DESCRIPTION
On July 11, 2022, the County Manager approved CSA No. 17-052-07 with the Consultant at a cost of $99,636.50 to perform an Alternatives Analysis for improvements to the intersection of Country Club Road at Buckeye Loop Road. The Alternatives Analysis is now complete.
Two traffic control alternatives (traffic signal with turn lanes, and roundabout) were evaluated based on their safety and operation improvements. The recommended alternative for this Project is a traffic signal with turn lanes. This CSA will provide professional engineering services to perform roadway design, utility coordination, geotechnical investigation, subsurface utility engineering (SUE) and for construction plans for a new mast-arm traffic signal system on the Country Club Road at Buckeye Loop Road Intersection. County staff has negotiated a CSA with the Consultant to provide professional engineering services for this Project. The Consultant is to perform these services at a total not-to-exceed fee of $378,645.01 and will be completed as detailed in “Exhibit A”.
RECOMMENDATION
Request the Board approve CSA No. 22-087-02 with the Consultant at not-to-exceed fee of $378,645.01 for the Country Club Road at Buckeye Loop Road Intersection Improvements Project.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are budgeted and available in the Transportation Trust Fund.
