DESCRIPTION
Purpose of Layboard: To assist the BoCC in determining the acquisition of land in accordance with Ordinance No. 22-050.
Creating Authority: Established by Res. No. 2023-009 adopted by the BoCC on February 7, 2023.
Appointments: The CLASAC shall consist of eleven (11) members. One County Commissioner appointed by the Chairman of the Board and ten (10) members shall be appointed by the Board, with each member of the Board appointing two (2) members. Voting membership should consist of the following representative members: two professionals with experience in water resource management, two from local environmental groups, two from agricultural community, one from local sportsman's group, one from local outdoor recreation group, one with public land management experience, one professional with experience in land use planning and/or education.
Term: Members appointed by Commissioners shall be appointed to four-year terms. The County Commissioner shall be assigned annually by the Board Chairman following the Board’s Organizational Meeting.
Reason for Appointment: To fill the seat left vacant by the passing of Kerry Hammock.
