DESCRIPTION
The County has received the following requests to adopt resolutions vacating, abandoning, discontinuing, closing, renouncing, and disclaiming any rights of the County or the public in certain platted and unmaintained rights-of-way. Florida Statutes, Section 336.10, requires the Commissioners hold a public hearing to consider Petitions adopting resolutions vacating, abandoning, discontinuing, closing, renouncing, and disclaiming property under their control. Setting a public hearing date will comply with Florida Statutes and allow the request to be considered.
Request Board set a public hearing date for the following requests to vacate platted and unmaintained rights-of-way. Suggested Hearing Date: Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at 9:30 a.m., or immediately following the regular agenda:
1. Consider a petition by Diana Jackson, to adopt a resolution vacating platted and unmaintained right-of-way lying west of Lots 1 through 5 and east of Lots 6 through 9, and within Block 11, as shown on the map of Ransone's Addition to Bradley Junction, as recorded in Plat Book 2, at Page 81, Public Records of Polk County, Florida. The subject right-of-way lies in Section 11, Township 31 South, Range 23 East.
2. On Board's Motion, consider a request to adopt a resolution vacating a portion of platted and unmaintained right-of-way shown as 43rd Street lying adjacent to the east of Acreage Lot "D", as shown on the Replat of Davenport Terminals, as recorded in Plat Book 29, at Page 4, Public Records of Polk County, Florida. The subject right-of-way lies in Section 3, Township 27 South, Range 27 East.
