DESCRIPTION
The County entered into an agreement with Johnson, Levinson, Ragan, Davila, Inc. on December 2, 2022, to provide engineering services to upgrade the County Administration Building HVAC equipment. The services include design of the HVAC units and building modifications needed to install the units, development of construction bid documents along with construction administration services through the final completion of the project. The cost of these services is $185,332.00.
Due to an anticipated 24-week lead time to build and deliver the HVAC units, it is necessary to modify the construction bid scope of work to separate out the portion of the design specifications, to include modifications to the specifications book and engineering/architectural drawings, related to the purchase of the HVAC units. This will allow Procurement to solicit and order the HVAC units while the construction bid for installation of the units can align with the 24-week lead time. It is anticipated that the construction bid will be ready to be posted in the early July time frame with an anticipated construction contract to be presented to Board for approval in October/early November. This time frame will ensure that all funds are committed and encumbered by December 31, 2024.The cost to carve out the design specifications of the HVAC units is $33,250.00, which brings the total project to a not-to-exceed amount of $218,582.00. The effective date of this Amendment No. 1 is February 6, 2024.
All services under Agreement 2022-118, will be completed prior to October 1, 2026.
